MEDUSA – white

The Medusa lamp, designed by Olaf von Bohr for Valenti in 1968, is an icon of Italian design. Crafted by assembling folded and painted aluminum slats around a central ring, it creates a unique light diffuser that emits a soft and enveloping glow. Its sinuous and minimalist form makes it ideal as both a table and floor lamp, adding a touch of elegance to any setting. Medusa is part of the permanent Italian Design Collection at the Triennale di Milano, attesting to its artistic and historical value. The name “Medusa” recalls the mythological Greek figure, with its luminous filaments evoking the Gorgon’s serpents. This lamp represents a perfect fusion of art and functionality, continuing to captivate and inspire design enthusiasts.
