Artemide Nessino-orange

The Nesso table lamp is a typical representative of the design of the 60s. It is the re-edition of the famous lamp winner of the Studio Artemide / Domus competition in 1965. Designed for Artemide by Giancarlo Mattioli and the Urbanisti Group Citta ‘Nuova, Nesso is now in the permanent collection of MoMa in New York. The design of the 60s sees the triumph of plastic and strong colors. The Nesso table lamp by Artemide is a clear example of this. The base is made of ABS resin injection molded and die-cast in chrome molds as well as the lampshade. Four bulbs inserted in the upper part allow a direct and diffused light to be obtained. The ABS resin composition of the lampshade, which resembles the shape of a mushroom, shields the light and directs it downwards. Nesso, thanks to its captivating shape, is a piece of furniture that can be placed anywhere. Its measures make it suitable for any room in the house. Thanks to its captivating shape, familiar air and timeless design enhances any furniture. Ideal in contemporary living rooms, it finds its location with ease even in retro-style environments. It is perfect as a desk lamp. The light that produces, homogeneous and directed downwards, does not tire the eyes. Its versatility makes it also suitable for cheerful bedrooms.
