Fontana Arte METAFORA table – white

Metafora was born in the full creative climate of the early 80s, when Gae Aulenti assumed the role of artistic director within FontanaArte and decided to bring glass back to the center of the company’s activity. Called by Gae Aulenti, Umberto Riva designs a precious table lamp, composed of a conical diffuser with opal glass layers, supported by a transparent glass base that conceals the metal structure, all interlocking. An object of a highly decorative nature, produced with traditional production techniques such as mouth-blowing glass, typical of artisan know-how, today re-proposed to a public always attentive to the originality of the design and its timeless expressions.
