Zephyr is a minimalist and elegant chandelier, designed by Carlo Colombo and produced by the Artemide brand, with a modular structure that allows for infinite customised layouts according to the needs of each project.  The modular element is a double cylindrical diffuser with a central body that encloses the light sources and, by means of two rings that rotate on the same axis, defines the position of the neighbouring lighting bodies by positioning the structural connecting elements. The diffuser is made of hand-blown transparent glass in a mould with a wavy shape whose vertices are then ground to create a horizontal texture that alternates transparent and opaline diffusion strips. This processing elegantly enriches the diffuser, but above all creates a glare-free diffusion of light along the cylindrical body.  This is a contemporary interpretation of the traditional chandelier: the craftsmanship of glass combines with the simplicity of form and optical flair to reinterpret glass processing technologies, not only as decorative elements, but also as functional tools for controlling and distributing light.
