Bellatrix is a wall lamp by Catellani & Smith that transforms light into art through a striking golden disc with a diameter of 120 cm. Inspired by the star of the same name in the Orion constellation, this piece features a hand-textured surface finished with gold leaf. It is available in two versions: one with hand-drawn radial lines, and the other with swirling, centrifugal curves. The disc is illuminated by nine integrated LED modules mounted on a 10 mm brass rod, which is supported by a flexible brass arm that allows for directional lighting. The indirect glow interacting with the shimmering surface creates a warm, atmospheric effect that enhances both residential interiors and sophisticated contract spaces.
