Bianca is a family of lighting fixtures equipped with a diffuser in cased glass in a milky white colour, still blown with a satin finish. The surface decoration of the diffuser is characterized by an ordered series of light and delicate furrows which, on the white volume of the glass, recall small footprints on fresh snow. Mouth-blown, tape-ground and then dipped in acid in order to obtain the characteristic “silk effect” of fine glass, Bianca’s diffusers are available in three diameters that complete all the thirteen types of luminaires that make up the family . The largest measures 50 cm in diameter and, in terms of size and quantity of glass, has represented, represents and will represent an authentic challenge for each production, even for the most skilled glass masters, used to blowing glass while standing still which, according to the traditional production process venetian, does not require the help of external aids to turn and shape the mass of glass in the mold, but only the use of one’s own mastery and lung capacity. Bianca is available in the free-standing, table and floor versions with stem and base, suspension and wall and ceiling. The opaque white color of the paint applied to the various metal supports recalls the name and color of the diffuser. In the Small, 16 cm, and Medium, 30 cm in diameter sizes, Bianca houses a dimmable Led board while the Large 50 cm diameter version mounts an E27 lamp holder which allows the use of different types of light sources.
