Artemide ECLIPSE – gold
Designer Vico Magistretti, 1965
Eclisse Artemide, a table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti in 1965, won the Compasso d’Oro in 1967 and has become the representative of Italian design in the world. Eclisse Artemide is a cutting-edge balance between form and function, design and utility. The basis of the concept lies in its functionality of regulating the intensity of the light through its internal rotating lampshade that “eclipses” the light source. In fact, with a fixed external casing and a movable internal casing, the lamp can provide direct or diffused light. Table lamp, can also be mounted on the wall.
